DevWharf is a Spokane software studio.

I am a full-stack developer based in Spokane, Washington. I was born in Mandan, North Dakota, and grew up in Coeur d Alene, Idaho. Computers have fascinated me my whole life, more than 40,000 hours of it, and this business is a decade in the making, not a career pivot. At some point the choice got simple: spend a working life on someone else’s ladder, or bet on the skill I had been building since childhood and take control of my own trajectory. I chose the bet.

I did the academics to prove the discipline, a 4.0 and the degrees and certifications to show for it, then formed DevWharf LLC straight out of college rather than waiting for permission. The honest truth is that the real education came outside the classroom: more of my hours have gone into building my own applications, shipping them through Apple’s review process, and running this business than ever went into coursework. That is where the craft got sharp.

When you hire DevWharf you get that whole history pointed at your goal, and your goal becomes my burden until it is done. Clean, maintainable code with documentation to match is standard practice here, not an afterthought, and years of customer-facing work taught me to explain things in plain language and to actually answer the phone. When I am not building software, I am usually hiking, fishing, or playing PC games.
